1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Bonded (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You consent to receive communications electronically, including agreements, notices, and billing information.

2. Eligibility

You must:

Be at least 18 years old
Reside in the United States
Have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

Bonded is not available to individuals under 18.

3. Description of Service

Bonded is a privacy-first relationship wellness application built around structured tools rather than open-ended messaging. It provides:

Relationship self-assessments and check-ins
Structured communication and conflict-resolution tools (guided prompts, timers, and frameworks)
Private personal journaling and shared goal, milestone, and calendar tracking
Financial alignment tools for couples
Date and activity suggestions
Faith-based devotional content
AI-powered personalization and recommendations

Bonded does not provide free-text partner-to-partner messaging or photo/media sharing. Information shared with a partner is limited to the structured content produced by the tools above.

4. NOT Professional Services

BONDED IS NOT THERAPY, COUNSELING, OR MEDICAL CARE.

We do not diagnose or treat conditions.
Content is educational and for personal growth only.
AI suggestions are automated and not reviewed by licensed professionals.
You should not rely on Bonded for crisis situations or serious relationship problems.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal

Bonded may offer paid subscription plans.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the billing period.
Monthly plans renew monthly.
Annual plans renew annually.
You authorize recurring charges until canceled.

Payment Processing

iOS: Managed by Apple. Refunds subject to Apple's policies.
Android: Managed by Google Play. Refunds subject to Google Play's policies.
Web: Processed via Stripe. Refunds may be considered within 14 days at our discretion.

You may cancel through your device subscription settings or account dashboard.

Prices may change with reasonable notice.

6. AI and Automated Features

AI-generated content:

Is automated and may contain errors
Is not professional advice
May not understand full context
Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for important decisions

You use AI features at your own discretion.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonded is not liable for consequences arising from AI-generated content.

7. Partner Connections

When connecting with a partner:

You authorize sharing of selected content
Both partners may retain access to shared content
We cannot control how your partner uses shared information
Either partner may disconnect at any time

Only connect with individuals you trust. Bonded is not responsible for misuse of shared data by a partner.

8. Financial Tools Disclaimer

Bonded provides general budgeting tools but:

We are not financial advisors
We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice
Consult licensed professionals for financial decisions

9. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information
Maintain account security
Use the Service lawfully
Respect partner privacy

You agree not to:

Engage in illegal activity
Upload malicious code
Harass or abuse others
Impersonate others
Attempt unauthorized access
Use the Service if under 18

10. User Content

You retain ownership of your content.

You grant Bonded a limited, non-exclusive license to:

Store and process content
Generate AI responses
Maintain backups
Comply with legal obligations

We do not use identifiable personal content to train public AI models.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bonded, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from claims arising out of:

Your use or misuse of the Service
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of applicable laws or third-party rights

12. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS."

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Bonded disclaims all implied warranties.
Bonded is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Bonded is not liable for relationship outcomes.
Bonded is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or partner misuse.
Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
If no payment was made, liability is limited to $100.
This limitation applies regardless of legal theory.

13. Force Majeure

Bonded is not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, government actions, or technical failures.

14. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in harmful or abusive behavior
Attempt to breach security

You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Before filing legal action, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting legal@bonded.app.

If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Arbitration shall take place in North Carolina unless otherwise required by law.

The arbitrator has exclusive authority to determine arbitrability.

17. Class Action Waiver

Disputes must be brought individually. You waive participation in class actions or representative proceedings.

18. Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

19. Assignment

Bonded may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

20. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
